Abstract
The photo album is dated 1929-1930 and contains 51 photographs and 16 postcards. The album documents a road trip to Rochester, NY, Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Maine, where she visits Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The first 6 pages of the album contain 23 photographs and postcards of Niagara, including the Suspension Bridge; Brock’s Monument; the Niagara Glen Station; the Spanish Aero Car; Table Rock House; Niagara Falls from Queen Victoria Park; the Laura Secord Monument; the War Memorial in Queen Victoria Park; views of the Falls View Bridge and Niagara Falls; the Niagara River rapids; the Refectory in Queen Victoria Park; Niagara Falls illuminated at night; and Niagara Falls in winter. The rest of the album contains photographs, postcards and written accounts of the stops at Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, the Taconic Trail, airplanes flying in formation at Prospect Hill Fire Tower in Waltham, visits to cadets at West Point, NY, and Rochester NY. Also contains two letters to “Mum” about her travels. One letter is dated 1932 and the other has no date.
