Abstract
Fonds consists of five black and white photographs and one programme.
The photographs relate to the construction of the fourth Welland Canal. They include a group photograph, including Richard Yates; Bridge no. 10 during erection looking southwest (July 20/28); Bridge no. 9 repairs, damaged by Judge Kenefick (Feb. 10, 1955); and two photographs of the flower beds, pool, and greenhouse at Port Weller (July 21, 1930).
The programme consists of an itinerary for the inspection of the Welland Ship Canal work by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Connaught and Her Royal Highness, the Princess Patricia and staff, on the afternoon of Monday, May 11, 1914. The programme includes five diagrams printed on fabric. The diagrams include the Welland Ship Canal showing its relation to the present and to the old canals; a general plan of section no. 1 of the canal; a section of the canal showing material underlying the west embankment of Lock no. 2 pond as indicated by test holes; a general plan of section no. 2 of the canal; and a general plan of section no. 3 of the canal.
