The Press, Volume 35, Issue 2 includes: Flora MacDonald is presented with an honourary doctorate of laws at the June 12 morning convocation ceremonies; Brock University and Niagara College Presidents David Atkinson and Dan Patterson sign two agreements, the Framework Agreement and the Joint Vineyard Initiative; A three-week strike by workers of the St. Catharines Standard, the first in its 107-year history, is settled; Bonnie Neuman is hired at Brock University with the vision of redefining student services at the university; Murray Nystrom is appointed the new head coach of the Brock men’s hockey team.
