- Brock thwarts BUSU’s plan to open a used bookstore, stating that it would break a contract that BUSU signed 10 years ago saying they would not build a used bookstore within the student building; Brandon Larry elected as BUSU president for new year; A BUSU referendum will ask students if they would support an extra ancillary fee of $100 along with their tuition which would cover transportation for the St. Catharines, Welland and Niagara Falls transit systems; Brock is likely to lose its status as the only University in Canada with free parking come September 2003 at the recommendation of the Task Force on Parking and Transportation; Well over 100,00 Canadians took part in protests against the U.S. led war in Iraq.
