Abstract

One 40 cm. x 61 cm. map of the line from Detroit to Boston

Description

This map is an advertisement for the Great Western Railway which advertises Wagner’s Palace, drawing-room and sleeping cars via this line from Detroit, to Buffalo, Rochester, New York and Boston. It is advertised at the shortest line between Detroit and Boston and all eastern cities. Also featured on this map are the comfortable smoking cars, new and elegant dining cars, the fact that this is the only direct Niagara Falls route and the only line in connection with the Michigan Central Railway. The dining car is also advertised along with the dinner bill of fare. There is a list of reasons why this is the favourite route to the east and a time table eastward is provided on the back of the map.
