Written Indenture and Deed of Surrender

Abstract

Written indenture between Henry Fry, his wife Eleanor, and John McMurrick (representing the Fry estate) in the first part and William Benjamin Robinson of St.Catharines in the District of Niagara of the second part for the sale of land to Robinson, 2 November 1841. Also a deed of surrender to the Crown by Robinson and his wife Eliza to Samuel Peters Jarvis, Chief Superintendent of Indian Affairs, on behalf of the Queen, of the same land, Rama Township, for a reserve for the Chippewa tribe of Indians, 8 December 1843. The documents are handwritten on 2 sheets of vellum and joined at the bottom by four red seals.
