A letter from Ethelwyn Wetherald to Mr. & Mrs. Page, 11 April 1933. The letter reads: "Dear Frank and Elsie Page, - I have been wondering if it would inconvenience you too much if I deffered my promised visit until the weather is more settled. April is a fickle creature & we have had as many tears as smiles from her so far. And then, lovely as Spring is, it will be even lovelier when it is greener & leafier & grassier. To be able to set out doors again will be celebration enough. So will it be all right if Dorothy takes me to you a little later? The winter was rather stingy with snow & generous with mud; otherwise there was little fault to find with it. We are all well & hope you are all in the best of health. Kenneth & Jimmie (the hired man) are busy with spring work, including the care of 750 young chicks. Tell wee Ellen not to grow too fast. I want to be sure to know her when I see her. Love to you all from Aunt Nan Nan"
