The St. Catharines Journal was a semi-regular newspaper published weekly in the 1800s. Articles and attitudes in this newspapers were often reflective of common attitudes of white settlers during this time period, meaning that most prejudices and colonialist ideas went unquestioned.   • The Farmers Journal from Welland went on to form the British American Journal. By 1835 the name was changed again, and the paper ran at the St. Catharines Journal from 1835-1915 (approximately).
