Robert Kemp (1820?-1878), a miller, resided in Clinton Township, where he operated a milling business. The account book lists his daily activities in the operation of the mill and the accounts held with the business. Kemp had clients in Beamsville, Clinton Township, Grimsby and Smithville. Robert Kemp was married to Eliza Oxborrow and they had at least five children: Thomas O., Eliza H., Robert H., Frederick W., and Chester C. Robert Kemp died on 23 September 1878.
